L. Ron Hubbard (noted liar and bigamist) was right, but not in the way that he had envisioned. Because of the many critical websites about Scientology, I am now much better off. I understand cultic indoctrination and mind-control techniques, and realize the threat posed to people by organizations such as the Church of Scientology. I am alert to the fact that anyone can be recruited by a cult, including me. I also have a greater appreciation of the value of a free society, which is incompatible with Scientology's totalitarian ideology.
